The room was very neat and clean. We asked that Abby not be disturbed when we weren't there, so the housekeeping staff would come to the door and exchange our towels for us and pick up the trash each day and that was all. It is a little loud because of its proximity to the highway, but around back and up the hill is nice. The doors slamming to the rooms is a little unnerving, and the bell on the elevator is really loud when it reaches your floor. If your room is nearby, you definitely hear it. We had a corner room with a jacuzzi and fireplace and balcony that overlooked the mountains and all of that was just wonderful. It was in a very convenient location to everything. Just a short drive. We had no real problems to speak of. Everything except what I mentioned was satisfactory. There were many dogs and cats in this hotel for Hurricane Gustave. The staff were extremely accomodating and pet friendly. The

I am always afraid of "dog friendly" lodging because they are usually sub-standard accommodations and require an additional fee of $25 to $50 per night. But I found this hotel to be extremely clean, well-maintained, safe, have a very reasonable pet fee and the staff to be warm and welcoming. We unfortunately found this hotel thanks to Hurricane Gustov. This is the first time we have stayed at a hotel with the cats. This hotel is CLEAN, Friendly and careing. The staff at Loews was soooo pet-friendly and did not look at you like you were crazy for having a pet with you. Gracelyne is our only child and she goes everywhere with us. But I must say Lowes remains at the TOP of our list for pet-friendly accomdations. I do not feel insecure in leaving her alone while we dine out at night. I stayed in 01/2008. I arrived late, and left early - this hotel is right off I-95, which made it very convenient for a quick overnight stay while traveling. The room was basic - nothing great about it, but don't think this hotel is meant for a vacation. This exit is very busy and close to the interstate, so there was car/truck noise all night, which made my dogs bark a lot during the night. Hotel staff was nice - I was concerned about my dogs barking and the front desk clerk told me she could move me to a room where there were no "neighbors" if I wanted. Our family stayed at the Ramada for 60 days after returning from overseas assignment. The staff was simply wonderful! The housekeep staff and I came up with schedules to ensure all animals were supervised and safe during cleaning. The hotel has dog friendly grassy areas. |
